So this week has been full of changes. First Brayden's runny nose and dry cough (which we attributed to teething), turned into a stuffy nose and nasty cough. After day two of the cough, which was getting worse and more frequent, I took him to the doctor. I just didn't like the sound of it...it made me uneasy. Away, turns out he has a sinus infection. So he is now on Amoxicillin for the first time. We are on day two of medicine, so I am hoping that the cough and congestion clear up soon!!
Then Wednesday morning, after Brayden's doctors appointment Tuesday night, I woke up and thought that I was going to get sick. I tried to push through it and get myself together to go downstairs to work, but I just couldn't, so back to bed I went. When Brayden got up at 7am, I tried again to get up and go get him, but I couldn't. So Dan got up and brought Brayden to me to nurse. Long story short, after nursing, Brayden proceeded to throw up all over our bed!! Poor guy. Now, as most of you know, Brayden was a spitter-upper (sometimes projectile too), so Dan and I are both used to that by now (although since starting solid foods he rarely spits up anymore)....but this was wayyyy more than we have ever seen! It was literally everything he ate! So we called the doctor and went over his symptoms and they told me that they thought he had a viral infection and then gave me a long list of instructions on his restricted diet and feeding him for the remainder of the day. Needless to say, Brayden and I spent most of yesterday just laying around and re-cooperating. Oh, and doing laundry and throwing out pillows. Ugh.
Today we both woke up feeling much better, although we both are still congested and have nasty coughs. But it is a start. For another first, Brayden's bottom front two teeth came in this morning. They are just tiny little things, but they are there! So cute, but I will miss his gummy smile that lights up my heart!
On a side note, a week or two ago, Brayden start pushing back on all fours and rocking. Maybe crawling soon??? Who knows, and I am not pushing that one. I like my somewhat stationary baby. Although, you turn away for one second and he rolls all the way across the room. I can't believe that tomorrow Brayden will be eight months old...that update coming very soon!!!
