How Big is Brayden...

So Big!

So this is Brayden's new favorite thing and I think it is too cute! I guess because we used to always hold Brayden's hands and raise them over his head when we would say So Big, that now Brayden thinks he has to be holding onto your hands to lift his arms up. We will say, "how big is Brayden..." and he reaches for your hands. Then when you give him your hands, he raises his hands over his head and smiles...how cute, huh?!

Brayden is at such a fun age and is very active and always on the go. Here is some of the fun that we have been up to recently.

11 Months

Brayden is 11 Months...wow, so next month I will have a 1-year old. Can someone please figure out how to slow things down a bit?! My " little baby" is growing up wayyyy too quick!

Clothing Size: 18 months, although some 12 months still work too

Diapers: Size 4 (daytime) and Size 5 Overnights

Doctor Stats:

We don't go back to the doctor until 12 months, but I am guessing he is about 30 inches tall and somewhere around 24-25lbs.

Updates from the past month:

-Brayden is always on the go and is so curious as to what everything is and figuring out how it works! Toys, well they only keep his attention for 2.5 seconds...haha, but the Roomba, now that is entertaining!

-Brayden continues to smile and talk all the time! His vocabulary includes...dada, baba, nana, tata and what sounds like yes and daddy. He also continues to roll his tongue all the time. Plus he has also learned to smack his lips and click his tongue.

-Brayden is really good at walking while holding onto just one of our hands. He can also stand up by myself now, but usually gets timid and slowly starts to sit down.

-Brayden loves to clap and smile and is so proud of himself when he does it. He also loves to wave hi and bye to everyone he sees. One of his newest things is picking up Bailey's ball and giving it to him, which usually turns into him picking up everything and giving it to us....I like to tell myself that he is just learning to share. haha.

-Brayden still continues to be a great eater and is eating trying a lot of people food now. Some of his favorites are peaches, pears, apples, banana, cherries, watermelon, bread, cheese, peas, corn, and cooked carrots. We are still working on the vegetables..however, if we put any of them on a spoon he will eat them.

Sleep habits:

-Wake time is around 6:30am
-Brayden still takes two naps a day (9:30 and 3pm). Morning nap is typically 2 hours and afternoon nap is a little over an hour (we typically wake him up).
-Bedtime is 7:30 or 8pm

-Brayden still sleeps on his side or tummy 99.9 percent of the time.

What is next:

-Hopefully "mama" sometime soon...PLEASE maybe before you turn 1 year old!

Here are some pictures from today. Can you tell that Brayden loves his apples...

4th of July Weekend

We tried to keep it a low-key weekend because we had just gotten home from Las Vegas, but we did manage to get over to my parents house for the afternoon/evening for a bbq for my dad's birthday. Then on the 4th, we headed down to Dan's Aunt's house for a bbq and some more pool time with Brayden! Don't you wish that every weekend was a three-day weekend?!!!

Family Vacation

So we just got back (right before the 4th of July weekend) from our family vacation to Las Vegas. We had an amazing time and Brayden did better than we ever could have expected between the five hour plane ride, three hour time change, over stimulation, and staying up wayyyyy past his bedtime! I will have to say, that we could not have done the plane ride without the extra help of my mom though. Well we could have, but it would have been very tiring and stressful. Dan, Brayden, and I flew out to Vegas with my mom, dad, and brother; therefore, were able to have a whole row (Dan, My mom, and Me) while Brayden crawled from one lap to the next. It worked out well, especially since Brayden slept for about the first two hours.

The day that we arrived was my cousin Danielle's 13th birthday, so we re-grouped and headed out to dinner. The next day was deemed a pool day. It was Brayden's first time in the pool and he absolutely loved it!! That night, while everyone else went out to dinner, Dan and I had a low-key night in at the time-share resort we were staying at and just made pizza and relaxed so that we Brayden could get a good night's sleep. Then the next night was my cousin Danielle's Bat Mitzvah. Her mom, my cousin Lori, organized an amazing event and party which included everything...great music, good food, an awesome cake and candy bar, and a photo booth with fun props for the kids (and grown ups). After the busy first few days in Vegas, we spent the rest of the trip hanging by the pool at our resort or at my Aunt's house, visiting with my dad's family, going out to dinner with the whole Rudden clan (some nights we had over 20 people at dinner), and wandering down to the strip to walk around the hotels. We had such a good time, loved spending time with my dad's side of the family, and introducing Brayden to them for the first time. However, we are also glad to be back home and getting in the swing of things again! Here are several pictures from our trip...sorry so many, I could not choose which ones to include. :)

 We made it!
