Aquarium

We met Jill and McKenna at the Aquarium this week! It was Brayden's first trip to the Aquarium and he seemed to be enthralled by all the "new" animals! Brayden was able to pet a shark and a starfish, which he thought was awesome! He also really enjoyed playing in the Kid's Zone Area..so did McKenna! I must say, it was pretty cool! Probably the cutest moment from the trip (in my opinion) was when Brayden would walk up to the fish tanks built into the wall and put his arms out trying to "catch" the fish! :)

See the Penguin??!!

Beach - Part 2

This was Brayden's second time at the beach! Ironically enough, his first experience at the beach was also with Jill, Andy, and McKenna last summer! Brayden enjoyed playing being held while playing in the water (it was pretty cold), playing in the sand, and playing soccer on the beach! We had a blast!!!

Loving the sand and heading to the water.

Brrr, cold! He did give it a try though!

My boys!

Soccer time!

Beach Trip - Part 1

So last weekend we headed to the beach for a fun-filled weekend with great friends Jill, Andy, and McKenna! Andy is in the Air Force and they are being relocated to CA next month, so we decided to plan a last minute weekend trip to the Bethany Beach before they moved out of town! We all had a wonderful time and the kids had a blast as well! Makes me sad that they are now going to be across the country. However, Jill and I have been friends since 3rd grade and have stayed in contact even when we ended up going to different high schools, I went away to college, and when she got married and moved to Montana. So a little move to CA won't change this friendship!!!

I will forever treasure these pictures and the lasting memories from the weekend!

What are you eating up there?

Yogurt, What are you eating?

LOVE them both so MUCH!

20 Months Old

Warm weather is upon us and we have been enjoying the outdoors as much as possible these past few weeks! Over the past month, Brayden's biggest change has been with his talking! He has more than doubled his vocabulary and is starting to put two and three words together at a time! We are loving these moments and watching Brayden learn to talk! Brayden is also enjoying "making friends" when we are running errands by saying "hi" and "bye bye" to everyone! Although, once someone responds to him he becomes shy! In general Brayden tends to be shy at first and does not talk much, but he typically warms up pretty quick!

I just have to laugh when I look at the pictures from our 20 month photo shoot, haha! Brayden was being a goofball and all over the place! Maybe it was because he was just in a diaper and tshirt! :)

Easter and Pictures

Of course we were not able to get any "good" family pictures in our nice Easter outfits! I guess that is what happens when you have an almost 20-month old and a Mommy who seems to blink in every stinking picture! Oh well, better luck next year!

Brayden sure does love his Uncle B!

Daddy's boy

Brayden loved this little deer at Dan's grandparents house

The rest are a few random pictures from this past week

Lazy morning at home relaxing with Bailey

Playing while Mommy gets ready...aka, pulling anything possible out of the cabinets

Brayden's new shades! He loves them too!

On a side note, Brayden now consistently points to his crib when we start to sing to him before bed. Our bedtime routine has always been to read, say prayers, and then rock and sing a little before laying Brayden in his crib (still awake). I have very much loved and looked forward to this snuggle time! However, Brayden now wants to read and then immediately following our hugs, kisses, and prayers he points to his crib. So now we just sing a song or two while he is in his crib. I know, I know, I am just not ready to completely part with this part of our routine. Haha. I know that this is a good thing, but it  also makes me sad to know that my "baby" is growing up so quickly right before my eyes!

Easter Part Two - 2012

This morning we continued on with some of our Easter festivities, which included Easter Bunny Cinnamon Rolls for breakfast. Don't worry, we added the icing after the pictures, haha.

Then since we are going to be gone all day tomorrow, we let Brayden open his Easter Basket this morning. Once he found an egg with a few M&M's in it, he loved it!

Later for lunch we had an Easter Egg Hunt lunch. I divided Brayden's lunch between several Easter Eggs and let him go to town!  He had a blast and ate an awesome lunch! Win - Win!

And to keep with the real meaning of Easter, we have been having Brayden glue a cotton ball onto a print out picture of an Easter Bunny on our refrigerator every morning. This has helped him learn to countdown the days till Easter and has also provided a great opportunity for us to explain a little bit about Good Friday and Easter to Brayden.

We will be spending all day with family tomorrow and are really looking forward to it! I am sure that Brayden will also have a few more Easter Egg Hunts and Easter Baskets to look forward to as well. So I will probably have one more Easter post and pictures after tomorrow. Happy Easter!!!

Baby Samantha

Yesterday we made the 2.5 hour trip to see my family and my cousin's new baby girl Samantha. We had a wonderful trip and visit with them!! I only wished that we lived even closer!! I have such fond childhood memories of playing with my cousins and hope that Brayden will one day be able to have the same memories as well!

Isn't she perfect?!!!!! Love her so much!

And just for fun....Daddy's little shadow!
