Water Toys

This past weekend was beyond hot for the end of May, so we got out all the water toys! Dan even bought Brayden a slip n slide! Brayden had a blast running from the baby pool, to the sprinkler, to the slip n slide. Last night the temperature dropped a good bit and it was overcast all day today. I had a pretty disappointed son when I told him that we were not going to set up the slip n slide today! I am sooo glad that Brayden loves the slip n slide (and being outside in general) and am sure that we will get our use out of it this summer!

GG Book

So this past weekend for Memorial Day, my Grandmother, Uncle, and two cousins were in town visiting from Chicago. We had a wonderful weekend with them and Brayden sure did grow to love his "GG" (that's what he calls my Grandmother)! He is still talking about her when we look at the pictures from this past weekend and loves the book that she bought him! "GG Book" is what he calls it now and we read it multiple times everyday!!!

Graduation

I am a little behind. Dan graduated two weeks ago and received his Master's in Information Systems Technology. To say I am proud of all his hard work would be an understatement! 

Brayden - 21 months

Brayden, I can not believe that we are three short months away from your 2nd birthday this summer! You are such a happy, energetic, smart, funny, kind, loveable, and observant little man! 

Airplane!

You are talking more and more these days and have come up with some pretty funny stuff! Once we laugh at something you say, you get this adorable smirk on your face and keep repeating it because you know that you made us laugh! It is adorable! 

You love playing outside, going for walks, playing with Bailey, reading books, your milk, and bath time. You are Mommy's little buddy and Daddy's little shadow! It warms my heart to see your face light up when he walks through the door after work or when you are "helping" Daddy with a project! :) We treasure every day we spend with you and have learned so much from having you in our life! Thank you for showing us what life is really about and teaching us to always stop and smell the roses!

Randomness

We had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend! On Saturday, I had a wedding shower to go to and got to get out of the house for the afternoon. Then Sunday we started the day with church and my brother brought my Mom and I flowers. Such a thoughtful and nice surprise! They are still sitting on my kitchen counter and are beautiful! After church I relaxed outside (and did nothing) while Brayden napped, which was a nice change of pace for me. Then my parents and brother came back over in the afternoon to hang out and BBQ. It was a great day and Brayden even learned to say "Happy Mommy Day! I loved it!

In the evening this week, we Dan has been working hard to get our vegetable garden ready. It is pretty much complete now and we are hoping to at this have a few things grow this year! Brayden of course was following his Daddy's every move!

Brayden has also really started to enjoy coloring lately! Which has worked perfectly for while I am getting dinner started! Win-win situation!

Weekend

We had a pretty low-key week filled with lots of playtime, playing catch up, and running errands. We also had a couple playdates too, which we always enjoy!

After running errands, I surprised Brayden with some little toy animals that have been keeping him very entertained!

Brayden also got a "big boy" chair this week. He LOVES his new chair and smiles from ear to ear when we ask him if he wants to sit in his "big boy" chair!
