Apple Picking 2013

We also went apple picking at Milburn Orchard last weekend. It is a yearly tradition with our good friends, Michael and Lauren, and we had a great time as always. Freshly picked apples, lots of laughs, great company, and more apple cider doughnuts. Can't beat that!

Finding the "perfect" apple.

Searching for apples in her reach.

Apple picking is hard work.

Right, Daddy?!

Pumpkin Picking 2013

Last Friday Dan had off work, so we took advantage of the beautiful fall day and took the kiddos pumpkin picking at Milburn Orchard. They also have lots of fun areas for Brayden to play - hay maze, bouncy toys, swing set, animals to feed, corn maze, and much, much more. Plus the market is the best - fresh apple cider doughnuts, pastries, apple cider, hot chocolate, and an abundance of locally grown produce.

Can't wait to pick out our pumpkins.

We have yet to get both kids to look at the camera at the same time. And smiling at the same time...forget it. :) Haha.

Daddy's little girl.

Super excited for the hay maze.

Worn out from our fun morning.

Life Lessons for a Three Year Old

Brayden has always been such a big helper! He loves to help with projects and learn how everything works, so we take advantage of the moments to teach him when we can.

Learning how to change the oil in Daddy's truck.

Learning how to count money, tithe, and save.

Learning how to hem his pants with Nana.

Wilmington Railway

On October 12, we took Brayden (and Brooklyn) on their first train ride. The Wilmington Railway does local train rides (about 1.5 hours round trip) and you can pack snacks and a lunch to eat on the way. Brayden was so excited for our "surprise" trip and completely fascinated by the train!

Our steam engine arriving at the station.

Mesmerized.

This little one was scared of the loud train horn.

Checking his ticket for the ride.

Once on board and moving, she was happy again.

Loving the train!

Brooklyn - 9 Months

Brooklyn is nine months old! Right around nine months, well a few days after, Brooklyn started crawling! She had been scooting, sliding, and doing somewhat of an army crawl for a couple weeks, but officially took off crawling at the beginning of October. From the moment Brooklyn started moving, she would crawl straight towards anything that she could pull herself up on. She's not quite successful yet, but is keeping us on our toes!

At her nine month appointment, Brooklyn weighed 20lbs 5oz (80th percentile) and was 27.5 inches long (46th percentile). Additionally, her head is in the 75th percentile.

We are also starting some solid foods now. Not much to report as of nine months, but I am sure I will have more of an update by 10 months.

Brooklyn you have a smile that always brightens our day! We love you sweet baby girl!

My Babies

I was uploading and organizing pictures last night and came across these ones. The first two were from a little while ago, hence the short sleeves, but I love them.

We have been enjoying the fall days outside. Brooklyn loves playing in the leaves and Brayden enjoys handing the leaves to her, aka throwing them on her.

Our little Phillies fan!

Clean babies!

The face that melts my heart.

Always my babies.

The other face that melts my heart!
