Brayden - November 2014

Some Brayden moments from November...

Enjoying our new favorite treats from Kilby's - Chocolate Covered Ice Cream Balls  - a local creamery that delivers farm fresh milk, eggs, cream, ice cream, and meats.

Discovering Nana's jewelry box! :-)

And introducing Fleece! Fleece was given to Brayden at Sunday School last weekend and is his best pal! Brayden loves to snuggle and play with Fleece !!!

Brooklyn Louise - 22 Months

On November 6th, Brooklyn Louise was 22 months! I feel like she will be two before we know it...the months of November and December always seem to fly by with the holidays! Everyday Brooklyn amazes us with the words that she can now say and the sentences that she is starting to put together. Brooklyn still loves her babies and is such a great "mommy" to them! She also loves to play  "house" with her little people and the little people dollhouse! Brooklyn usually plays so nice with her toys and is starting to show an interest in her brothers legos and trains too!

We love you sweet girl!!! :-)

I pray each and every day that you two always choose to love each other, laugh with each other, and enjoy each others company! May you always realize what a special bond siblings share!!!

Drawing and Crafts

I love capturing pictures of the kids artwork...especially when it is something that they have created completely on their own!!!

This is the first time that we have seen Brayden draw a person. He has been able to draw a few shapes for awhile now, but he has never had the desire to draw a person. I just love his first stick-figure drawing of himself! :-)

I really enjoy searching for, planning, and preparing fall and holiday crafts for the kids. First up for the month of November (fall and Thanksgiving theme) was Corn Maze.

I opted to have Brooklyn stick with stamps for now :-)

Brayden's completed corn!!!

Family Fun

On November 1st, we had a family fun day, which included checking out the new trampoline park in Wilmington and then taking the kids to the mall for lunch and to get new sneakers.

Both kids loved the trampolines and did not want to leave! We can not wait to take them back again soon!

Later that night we had a movie date night! Brooklyn mainly just played, but Brayden was so excited for this "special" night!

Then Daddy decided to change things up while reading to Brooklyn before bed! :-)

Halloween 2014

Halloween morning, Brooklyn and I (Nana joined too) headed up to Concord Mall to run some errands after dropping Brayden off at Preschool.

Then, after picking Brayden up from school, lunches, nap time, and an early pizza dinner, the Halloween fun began...

Little Miss Ladybug

Handsome Mr. Fireman

Tuckered out after lots of walking and trick-or-treating!

But not too tired to check out all of their treats!!!

Preschool Harvest Party

Brayden's Harvest Party at Preschool seemed to be a success. They had lots of fun activities planned for the kids and a few special snacks too!

Brayden's teacher (Miss Lauren) is on the Left and the teacher assistant (Mrs. Hass) is on the right.

Brayden's sweet friend Maggie.

Snack time - picnic style

Leaves

Nothing beats fall fun like jumping in a fresh pile of leaves! The kids (and Daddy and PopPop) could not resist the fun one Sunday afternoon when we were down at MomMom and PopPop's visiting and celebrating MomMom's birthday!

We tried to recreate the experience back at Nana and Pa's, but they don't have the same amount of leaves as MomMom and PopPop!

Carving Pumpkins

Both kids were very excited to carve pumpkins this year. Well, Brayden understood the concept, and Brooklyn just wanted to play!

Not excited about "cleaning out" the pumpkin...

However, Brooklyn was all for getting messy!

Planning out the pumpkins eyes, nose, and mouth.

Finished product!!!

Corn Maze

One beautiful fall weekend in October, Nana and I (Daddy was out that morning) made a last minute decision to take the kids over to Lytle's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch. It is only five minutes down the road from Nana and Pa's house, and we had a great time! Brayden loved the treasure hunt and corn maze and will be an absolute must for next year too!!!

Found the pumpkin...

Found the spider...

And after over an hour of searching for all the "treasures", we found them ALL and then the EXIT too! Brayden stuck with it the whole time and we were so proud of him for his determination, even when Mommy and Nana were close to give up! Way to go Brayden!!!

Fire Trucks

During the middle of October, Brayden learned about fire safety at Preschool. Fire safety week included a visit from the local fire company. Brayden was in awe over the fire trucks, the tall ladders, and all the "control" buttons.
