May

May activities for Brooklyn include being cute and playing with babies!! :-)

May activities for Brayden include learning how to put together his own lego sets (and complicated ones too)...

And jamming out to music (worship music that is)! :-)

Car Accident

Last weekend, Daniel and Brayden were headed to a birthday party at the Strausburg railway, when they got in a car accident. Thankfully everyone was ok! Our car looked pretty rough and had to be towed to a garage, but we later found out that most of the damage was to the outside of the car and that the frame was pretty much untouched. Good news for repairs!

The police officer that arrived at the scene was very nice and let Brayden try on his hat while Dan and him waited for us to come pick them up!

Brayden was unphased by the whole event until he realized that he was going to miss his friends birthday party! But being the great dad that he is, after everything was all said and done, Daniel still took Brayden to Strausburg and they road on the train!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

We enjoyed a great Mother's Day weekend! Saturday, my mom and I went to get pedicures and shop in Kennett a little bit. Then we headed over to my parents house Saturday night for dinner. Sunday we headed to church and then down state to spend the afternoon with Dan's family. Daniel and my kiddos made me feel so special on Mother's Day and really went above and beyond! It was wonderful!!

Dad and Kids Camp Weekend

The first weekend of every May, our church hosts a Dad and Kids camping weekend! All the Dad's and kiddos look forward to it every year, and I think so do the Mom's :-)

Brayden and Daddy went on lots of bike rides this camping trip and Brayden learned how to ride a two-wheeler! No training wheels! I could not believe it!  He was so proud of himself and so were we!!!

And what is a camping trip without hiking and bond fires??!!

So while the boys were away, the girls will play!! Mommy and Brooklyn painted nails and toes...

Had lots of dress up parties...

And enjoyed our share of ice cream!

Maybe next year Brooklyn will join the boys on their camping trip...Daddy's rule is she must be potty trained! ;-)

Dates with Nana

Every so often, Nana will take the kids on "special dates". Usually Brayden is the one that gets to enjoy the fun, but I think Brooklyn's turn is coming soon!

This time they checked out a new park in the area....

and then got ice cream cones!!! Brayden had a blast!!! :-)

Easter 2015

First Easter in our new home!

Easter morning we headed to church. Daddy was working the sound board on Easter Sunday and had to leave pretty early for church, so we tried to take a few pictures before he ran out the door!

After church we came home and took more pictures! Family ones this time :-)

Then it was time for the fun - preparing our Easter dinner, having an Easter egg hunt, and opening Easter baskets.

The kids had a great time running around finding Easter eggs on this windy day.

Counting their Easter eggs - 10 each :-)

And enjoying the Easter egg surprises - goldfish and M&M's!

Sick Lil' Brooklyn

At the beginning of April, Brooklyn started with a runny nose and then an extremely high temperature. We reached high's of 104.5 to 105 and it was scary! I was continually on the phone with her pediatrician, and we were alternating does of Tylenol and Motrin. After almost three days of high temperatures, we took Brooklyn into the pediatrician office to get checked out. Brooklyn was not a fan....and screamed, and screamed, but it was determined that she had an ear infection! Her first one...and after 24 hours of antibiotic she was on the road to recovery!

Poor lovey bug looks so sick :-(

When Brooklyn's temps were at the highest, she would not move from the couch. After the medicines kicked in, her temperature would drop into the 102's, and she would get up and start playing again. She really was a trooper through it all!!!!

Nana's Birthday and March Snow

While still in the process of moving, we celebrated Nana's birthday and enjoyed a late March snow store!

Aunt Jill, McKenna, Addy, and Ellie were on the East coast staying at her parents hosue while Andy was deployed, so we headed over there to sled and ride 4-wheelers! They have over 8-acres, so the kids had a blast playing in the snow!

And Brooklyn enjoyed eating it!!! :-)

Moving In

So we have been in our new house for almost two months now! Obviously I have not had the opportunity to blog much these past few months, so it is time to play catch up now that the boxes are all gone and most everything is somewhat put away and organized!

Daddy and Brayden had a sleepover at the new house prior to moving our furniture in!

Mommy and kiddos taking a car load of belongings over to the new house.

Brooklyn watching Mommy unload box, after box from the car.

Moving break and snack time for Brooklyn.

Playing in their new playroom

Moving is exhausting!

New House

So this past July of 2014 we sold our first home and temporarily (or so we thought) moved in with my parents. Then began the long journey of building our new home!

What started as a vacant lot and then a concrete slab,

quickly started coming together as the frame of our new house.

Although its been a long process,

the kids have really enjoyed seeing the different phases of our new home being built!!!

Today was finally closing day and the keys are officially ours!
(More up to date pictures with the kids to come)

For now, we look forward to moving in and the journey that awaits us!!! :-)
