Snow Days

Although we have had very cold temperatures and windy days, we have not had many "major" snowfalls thus far. But the few times that we have had enough snow, we bundle up and head outside to play.

Brooklyn plays for awhile, but then gets worn out and likes to just sit and watch. Its hard work running around with all that snow gear on!

However, it seems at times that Brayden and Daddy could play outside in the snow all day!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day from these two love bugs!!!

Dr. Love knows best :-)

Just Nana

Nana came home from work and joined in our photo shoot :-)

School Pictures

Brayden's preschool had school picture day at the beginning of February. The school (and photographer) also extend the offer for siblings of the preschooler to come in and get their picture taken too. This is a great idea and low-cost option, so I figured I would take Brooklyn in to get some nice pictures taken of her and Brayden taken together! Well Brooklyn had other plans that morning, but she absolutely REFUSED to get her picture taken. Not even with me kneeling close by holding her hand. She wanted nothing to do with it and made that very clear!!! Disappointing, but we rolled with it and came home and had a mini photo shoot instead. Not as nice of pictures as the school ones would have turned out I am sure, but they have an interesting story behind them, right?!!!!

Snuggles

Both of our kids love to snuggle and it is great! :-)

Brooklyn's Birthday Celebration

Brooklyn's birthday requests included going to the "trampoline place" and "cake", so that is what we planned! Since it snowed on her actual birthday, we went to the trampoline park the next afternoon and then out dinner where she enjoyed a great big bowl of ice cream with Brayden!! ;-)

24 Months - Brooklyn

Brooklyn Louise, Sweet Girl, Love Bug, is 24 months....two years old!!! Brooklyn, you are such a sweet, smart, silly, gentle, independent, talkative, animated, and joyful little girl. You love to play, sing, dance, and run around with your brother! You are very talkative and independent these days, yet you still love to cuddle and snuggle! You have blessed our family with so many wonderful memories over the past two years and we look forward to many, many more! We love you baby girl!!!

Brooklyn's 2nd Birthday

Brooklyn love bug is two!!! How did that happen so quickly?!

She was so excited to play with her birthday balloons first thing in the morning.

Brooklyn also loved getting to eat a doughnut for breakfast! :-)

And when your birthday is in January you get to wake up to freshly fallen snow too!!!

What's more fun than playing in the snow on your birthday?!

Of course opening presents is always exciting....

Brooklyn loved her new dollhouse and has played with it almost every day since her birthday!!

Happy Birthday sweet Brooklyn!! We love you!!

Frozen on Ice

Our Christmas gift to Brayden this year was Frozen on Ice tickets! To say he was excited was an understatement...

We had great seats...

The show exceeded our expectations...

And we all had a blast!!!

After Christmas - 2014

After Christmas, we enjoyed several relaxing pajama days at home. With lots of new toys and games to play, the kids were very entertained!

Brayden playing his new board game (Qwirkle) and trying out his first Disney XBOX game.

We also enjoyed a visit from Courtney (Uncle B's girlfriend)! Daniel and I had met Courtney this past summer when we were out in Las Vegas, but this was the first time the kids had met her....and let me just say they loved her! :-)

Brayden and Brooklyn watching videos of Lily (below).  We look forward to meeting Lily one day too!

Uncle B and Courtney headed back to Las Vegas a few days after the New Year. We had a great visit with them and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Happy New Year 2015!!!

Christmas Afternoon - 2014

During naps we headed down south to celebrate Christmas afternoon/evening with the Cooper side of the family! We all gathered at Great MomMom and PopPop's for dinner and gifts. Brayden and Brooklyn are so blessed to have such wonderful Great Grandparents in their lives!!

Christmas Morning - 2014

Christmas morning both kids slept relatively late and awoke to their stockings in the upstairs hallway.

Then it was time to move on to breakfast and more presents. Brooklyn loved her new dollhouse family and accessories!

Uncle B and KO hanging out.

Brayden was very excited for his new light up shoes. He couldn't believe that Santa knew he wanted them... ;-)

And he was also super excited to build his own house!

Christmas Eve - 2014

On Christmas Eve, we usually set out our cookies and milk for Santa right after lunch. It is a little early, but after naps we head right to church and then to the DiNuzzo's for a Christmas Eve celebration. Typically by the time we get home the kids are already asleep, so we don't want to miss out on leaving Santa his goodies!
